# Portals Finance

**Portals Finance** is a **sustainable reward** generating DeFi protocol on Avalanche that can be defined as a balanced mix between the simplicity of **DaaS** (Defi as a service), the power of **NFTs** and the fun of **gamification**.

> With a strong touch of innovation made by Portals Finance.

For those impatient ones who want to dive right into the adventure and travel back in time, here you go:

{% endcontent-ref %}

However, if you want to understand what motivated us in the first place to create this project:

* DeFi has given us the amazing concept of "node projects". A concept that makes DeFi more accessible to a larger audience offering passive returns. But a concept that is also often plagued by *unrealistically high APY*s, a *lack of transparency* and *not enough liquidity.*..

> Nodes as a concept therefore have a lot of potential for enhancement and refinement

* This analogy may seem pretentious but Einstein, for example, did not reinvent mathematics or physics to discover the theory of general relativity. He used them as tools to develop the theory. Like Einstein, we want to use existing tools and concepts that work and add our personal touch to **step up**, not the science game, but the **node game**.

Enough analogies, what exactly are we talking about here?
